May 11th is Park Pride Day during Love Your Park at Home! Here are all the ways you can learn, share, and do to show off your park pride.

LEARN: about the Park Friends Network

Philadelphia has much to be proud of, and our public parks top the list, with one of the largest and most diverse parks and recreation systems in the country. Philly’s parks wouldn’t be what they are today without it’s 130 Park Friends groups -  the community advocates and volunteers that show love for their parks year-round. 

With each of their cleanups, jazz concerts, movie nights and fundraisers, these volunteers bring pride to Philadelphia’s parks. Learn about some of the amazing work they do in these Park Friends highlights!

Join us for a rewarding volunteer opportunity at Penn Treaty Park! We're coming together to clean and green this beloved community space. Volunteers are encouraged to water, weed the pollinator garden, and clean up litter. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and it's absolutely free to participate. Let's make a positive impact on our environment and enjoy a morning of giving back to our community. We hope to see you there! Tools provided.🌱

FDR Park Clean Ups!

Join Friends of FDR park and take a stroll and clean up the Park! Meet new people or bring a friend! Meet us at the WELCOME CENTER at 1800 Pattison Ave, the first building on your right as you enter the park at 15th street. You can call/text 215-479-1954 if you can't find it.

Rail Park October Volunteer Green-Up

Join Friends of the Rail Park for a Volunteer Green-Up! Over the years, our volunteers have played an integral role in keeping the park a clean, inviting space for our larger community. New this year and in response to volunteer interest, we're introducing a monthly green-up. This is a great way to exercise your green thumb in community and leave your imprint on the park! Volunteers will assist with weeding, planting, pruning, and more! All supplies will be provided, plus light refreshments!
