May 11th is Park Pride Day during Love Your Park at Home! Here are all the ways you can learn, share, and do to show off your park pride.

LEARN: about the Park Friends Network

Philadelphia has much to be proud of, and our public parks top the list, with one of the largest and most diverse parks and recreation systems in the country. Philly’s parks wouldn’t be what they are today without it’s 130 Park Friends groups -  the community advocates and volunteers that show love for their parks year-round. 

With each of their cleanups, jazz concerts, movie nights and fundraisers, these volunteers bring pride to Philadelphia’s parks. Learn about some of the amazing work they do in these Park Friends highlights!

Lemon Hill Neighbors has embarked on a restoration of the garden and landscape around the fountain entry way along Sedgley Drive to bring it to a natural pollinator garden. Tasks will include- tagging plants, removing plants, planting seeds and starters, distributing leaf litter, trash cleanup and composting.

Penn Treaty Park - BIG SPRING CLEAN!

Join Friends of Penn Treaty Park for our first big cleanup of the year! On Sunday, March 16th, from 10 AM to 12 PM, we’ll be sprucing up the park, clearing debris, and getting it ready for spring. Bring a friend and help keep our beloved park beautiful! Supplies will be provided.
