May 11th is Park Pride Day during Love Your Park at Home! Here are all the ways you can learn, share, and do to show off your park pride.

LEARN: about the Park Friends Network

Philadelphia has much to be proud of, and our public parks top the list, with one of the largest and most diverse parks and recreation systems in the country. Philly’s parks wouldn’t be what they are today without it’s 130 Park Friends groups -  the community advocates and volunteers that show love for their parks year-round. 

With each of their cleanups, jazz concerts, movie nights and fundraisers, these volunteers bring pride to Philadelphia’s parks. Learn about some of the amazing work they do in these Park Friends highlights!

Help remove invasive plants and trash from Morris Park! Join Philadelphia Parks & Recreation's Stewardship Team for a Friday morning volunteer project in the Overbrook area of Philadelphia. Volunteers should bring water, sun protection, and snacks and be advised that there will not be immediate access to a restroom or water.
