Love Your Park
Love Your Park is a citywide celebration of Philadelphia's parks!
While we love our parks every day of the year, we organize special citywide events twice a year to bring some extra love, resources, and attention to Philly's public green spaces. On the second Saturday of May and November, we work with our network of community-run park friends groups to host volunteer events and special celebrations in over 100 neighborhood parks across Philadelphia. Love Your Park events bring friends, neighbors, and newcomers together to clean, green, and celebrate Philly's parks!
Love Your Park Week
Love Your Park Week is a nine-day celebration of Philadelphia's public parks starting the second Saturday of May. We organize a signature site event in collaboration with a neighborhood park to kick off the festivities, which is followed by volunteer workdays in over 100 parks across the city, plus dozens of fun, free events that invite Philadelphians to get outside and explore the bounty of of our city's park system. There's something for everyone during LYP Week - from guided hikes to local cleanups to community festivals.
Please note that all 2021 Love Your Park Week Service Day events will be capped at 25 total participants and will follow COVID-19 health protocols per Philadelpha's Department of Public Health. All participants are required to wear masks.
Fall Service Day
Love Your Park Fall Service Day is a citywide volunteer event on the second Saturday of November. Over 100 parks across Philadelphia host volunteer events to clean up our parks after a busy summer season and prepare these public green spaces for winter - and the following spring! Volunteers plant and care for trees, rake leaves, plant flower bulbs, clean out garden beds, and more. The 2021 Love Your Park Fall Service Day will be on Saturday, November 13.
