Evenings with PPR Stewardship: Parkside-Evans Rec Trail

Help clean up and beautify a trail next to Parkside-Evans Rec Center! Join Philadelphia Parks & Recreation's Stewardship Team for a volunteer project to pick up trash, clear trails, and remove overgrown invasive species.
All tools and materials will be provided- including work gloves (though you're welcome to bring your own). Volunteers should bring water, sun protection, and snacks. Restrooms may not be accessible nearby.
These events will be cancelled in the event of heavy rain or thunder or severe weather conditions!

During this workday, we will be clearing invasive vines and plants within an "exclosure", or a fenced-off area that protects new trees from invasive plans or animals that may harm it. Come learn from those who take care of the area, prevent vines from smothering our younger trees, and maintain the health of our urban forests.
