Open volunteer workdays to restore Philadelphia's natural areas - every Second Saturday.

Join us for an open volunteer workday on the second Saturday of every month to restore Philadelphia's natural areas. Workdays rotate to a different park every month and offer hands-on experiences with ecological restoration projects around the city.

Second Saturday volunteers plant and care for trees, remove invasive plants, keep our waterways clean, and have a special opportunity to learn about the City's ongoing efforts to restore Philadelphia's natural areas. Spend time outdoors with us, as we explore and help preserve Philadelphia's natural lands!

No experience necessary. All are welcome. Come and learn with us.

Second Saturday in East Fairmount Park
October 12th
10:00am – 12:00pm
Help preserve the beautiful woodlands of East Fairmount Park. We will support the woodland restoration by removing invasive trees, shrubs, and vines and picking up trash in the area. All tools and materials will be provided- including work gloves (though you're welcome to bring your own). Please note restrooms are not available at this location, and volunteers should bring plenty of water for themselves.
