Hosted by the Friends of FDR Park. Last MLK Day brought 30 volunteers on a chilly day to the park. We cleared Phragmite, picked trash, and cleared and mulched our orchard. Let's have another great day this year!

Meet by the Community Clubhouse (20th street entrance).
 
Register adults only. Kids are welcome if you think the projects are appropriate. If you are a group of 8 or more people, email me directly to have a special project for your group.)

*Bring gloves if you have them.
 
Projects:
Sheet Mulching - We'll be connecting the new path to the Picnic Grove with the outdoor tent area. It requires clearing of invasives, laying down cardboard and dumping wood chips.
 
Major Trash Haul Out - We'll be targeting energy cleaning under 95 from the skate park to the back tennis courts. The major haul will be the mountain of dumped tires (did someone say fire hazard?).
 
Overflow Projects: There will be smaller projects if we finish these early.
