Join Philadelphia Parks and Recreation's Stewardship Team for a volunteer workday on the Boxer's Trail in East Fairmount Park. We will spend the morning clearing vines and invasive species off of trees along the trail. Then, we will go on a short community walk led by a member of our Philadelphia Forest Stewards volunteer group, in which you will learn to identify the native and invasive plants that you walk by every time you are on this trail! In preparation for the event, you are invited to download the iNaturalist app on your phone and create an account. This wildlife identification tool has applications in citizens science that we will discuss during our walk.
