LEARN: How to be a Climate Hero (Video)

Motivated by environmental education for kids, Climate Heroes engages children about our beloved natural world! Inspired by the family-friendly Cimate Heroes curriculum, we hope to teach our youth to value the importance of the health of our shared planet through fun learning – we are bringing this introduction to you and your children at home so they can make their way towards becoming nature's very own Climate Heroes! Watch the video below, then click here to learn even more!

SHARE: Mother's Day activities for the whole family

Share the power of play this LYP season, with your family or on your own! With this wonderfully engaging Studio Ludo playpack, let's keep our awesome kids playing while social-distancing. In honor of Love Your Park @ Home, Studio Ludo developed these Mother's Day activity sheets for kids and families to enjoy and celebrate moms (the best play-mates of all time)! Share the love with others by donating a play pack to a Philly family in need. #SpreadTheJoyNotTheVirus

DO: A mini-yoga class with Fairmount Park Conservancy

Fairmount Park Conservancy will welcome everyone to Love Your Park @ Home and offer a short hike to a special treehouse in the park for an inspiring, beginner friendly mini yoga class led by Lauren Daddis.

Tacony Creek Park Master Plan Public Meeting

June 7th at 5:00pm

Open House: 5 pm Presentation and Q & A: 6pm to 7pm Refreshments & Kids Corner Learn about the new Master Plan for Tacony Creek Park by viewing park maps and a presentation of the plan. TTF has worked with consultant Natural Lands to develop a plan centered on community input and equity, with the goal of encouraging park use and strengthening connections with communities. Learn more about People of the Park and Explorer Kits, two special projects implemented as part of the Master Plan process. The plan was developed with the help of an Advisory Committee, and widely shared surveys and focus groups. Many of you, your families, schools, and organizations shared your concerns and idea for the park. You told us your priorities — park improvements, operations, or programs. Your participation is the foundation for a new vision for Tacony Creek Park. This is an opportunity for the community to imagine and shape what we want to see for the future of Tacony Creek Park!
