How do I register as a group?

There are two options for registering a group to participate in a Love Your Park event. You can invite each member of your group to register individually, or you can register on behalf of your group members using their names and email addresses. We cannot register an entire group with one registration; every volunteer must agree to the liability waiver, so a name and email address is required for every participant. This also helps event hosts have more accurate numbers so they can plan appropriately.

Option #1: Invite group members to register on their own

  1. Find the event you’re interested in at loveyourpark.org/all-events¬†and click on the title of the event, for example “Ridgway Park Leaf Roundup.”
  2. On the right hand side of the page, simply click on the link under “Get the word out” to copy the link.
  3. Share this link with your group members, inviting them to sign up for the event individually.

Option #2: Register on behalf of group members (requires group members’ names and email addresses)

If you have a smaller group:

  1. Find the event you’re interested in at loveyourpark.org/all-events and click on the “Register” button next to it.
  2. Fill out your own registration information.
  3. Click on the “Add Attendee+” box and add the name and email address of the person you’d like to reserve a spot for. Click “Add Attendee+” again to add additional names and email addresses.
  4. Click “Continue.” Complete your own registration questions, and then click “Finish.”
  5. GivePulse will email each person in your group, inviting them to confirm or decline their reservation.

If you have a larger group:

  1. Find the event you’re interested in at loveyourpark.org/all-events and click on the “Register” button next to it.
  2. Near the top of the page, you’ll see “Who is attending?” and three buttons next to it. Click on the “Upload CSV” button.
  3. Click “Download CSV Template For Import.” Open the spreadsheet and add in names and email addresses of your group members. Save the file.
  4. Return to the registration page, click on “Choose File,” and select the updated spreadsheet. Click “Submit.”
  5. Click “Continue.” Complete your own registration questions, and then click “Finish.” GivePulse will email each person in your group, inviting them to confirm or decline their reservation.

Why isn’t my park on the list?

Most Love Your Park events are organized by our network of volunteer-based park Friends groups. Park Friends groups are community-based groups of neighbors who volunteer their time to host park clean-ups, plan events and activities in their park, and advocate for improvements. Park Friends groups choose whether or not to host an event in their park, as well as when to host it and what projects to focus on. Fairmount Park Conservancy and Philadelphia Parks & Recreation partner to provide resources and support to participating park Friends groups, the majority of which work to support unstaffed neighborhood parks.

Can I submit a cleanup or event to the Love Your Park calendar?

During Love Your Park Week, we focus on supporting our registered park Friends, groups of community-based volunteers who support their unstaffed neighborhood parks. If you are interested in joining or starting a new park Friends group, please contact the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation stewardship team at PPRstewardship@phila.gov or call (215) 683-3640.

We are always happy to consider adding fun events to the Love Your Park calendar as long as they occur in a Philadelphia park during Love Your Park Week or are park-themed. If you would like to submit your event to the calendar, please email us at volunteer@loveyourpark.org.
