History of The Upper Roxborough Reservoir

Adam Levine, the Philadelphia Water Department’s historian, will give a walking tour of the Upper Roxborough Reservoir describing its history and its place in the history of water treatment in Philadelphia. Adam will be joined by representatives of The Water Department who will describe their current storm water abatement project at the site and members of the park’s Friends group who will give the history of the site since it was decommissioned in 1962 with emphasis on the time since it was taken into the Parks system in 2009.
